PAP
PAP is a preparation program for International nurses (Kenntnisprüfung Vorbereitungsprogramm – Knowledge exam preparatory program) who wish to get registered as a hospital nurse in Germany. The program prepares the international students in the German language, subject-oriented language (Nursing language), and know-how of theory, practical training like internships in German hospitals, senior care institutions or in outpatient care. Intercultural competences will also be taught. The curriculum is coordinated with the German ministry of health and social affairs (LAGuS) and conducted in cooperation with DAA (Deutsche Angestellten Akademie). The participants are eligible to do “Kenntnisprüfung” after successful completion of the PAP coursework. Having completed this exam, the foreign nurses are recognized and eligible to work as a hospital nurse in Germany.
PAP is offered in two formats
PAP for 15 months
PAP 15 months is for Europeans or foreigners with longterm visa |
PAP Plus for 9 months
PAP Plus 9 months is for non-Europeans, German B1 certificate (Goethe Institut, Telc or ÖsD) obligatory |

2. Application for qualification as hospital nurse for the ministry of health
3. Secondary Schooling or equivalent (both: front and back page)
4. If existent: Higher Secondary or equivalent (both: front and back page)
5. CV
6. English language proficiency test results
7. Certificates of Hepatitis B Vaccination
8. Certificate of General Health
9. Certificate of registration as nurse Professional qualification certificate
10. Curricular of the professional qualification
11. Consolidated mark sheets from the university or college
12. Individual Semester wise mark sheets
13. If existent: Provisional certificate (Note: we do not accept the course completion certificate as an equivalent)
14. Degree certificate (if applicable)
15. Photocopy of passport (front an back page)
16. Extra-curricular activity certificates (if any)
17. German language certificates (if any)
18. Professional passport size photograph with good resolution (as JPEG, Gif, PNG,Tiff-titled)
19. Work experience certificates (if any)
1. Complete the application form and send across the required documents, wait for our International office /ministry of health to verify/proof your documents
2. When accepted students receive admission acceptance form. It has to be signed and sent In parallel send originals or notarized copies of originals to IAS College Germany Administration office Lübeck (as per provided rules) back to IAS via email as a scanned copy (1 to 2 weeks)

7. Apply for Visa
8. Once Visa issued, pack your bags to fly to Germany
